Taking online surveys is one of the most common and easy ways to make a little bit of extra money each month whenever you have some downtime. This is a fun side hustle that can easily be done from the comfort of your home and doesn’t require much effort!
Now I’m not saying you can make thousands each month by doing this, but it’s not unheard of to make anywhere from $100-$500 extra per month (based on how many sites you sign up for and how many surveys you can accomplish).
Some survey sites can definitely seem a little scammy too, which is why I made a list of the ones I have personally tried out and the ones that have paid the highest based on my experience.
If you do decide to check out some other sites that I don’t mention in this post, just make sure you know the difference between a scam survey site and a legitimate one.
- Signs that a survey site is a scam:
- They ask you for any type of payment such as a fee or a “startup” cost. You should never have to pay them to get started!
- They request a social security number or your credit/debit card information. Huge red flag.
- They offer a considerably high amount per survey (if it seems too good to be true, it IS.)
Also, some of these sites only offer a few surveys per week, so I recommend signing up for as many as you can so that you can maximize your potential earnings.
Swagbucks
Swagbucks is my overall favorite survey site and the one I have been using the longest.
You can earn cash through Paypal and gift cards by answering surveys, playing games, watching short clips, shopping online, and even referring friends.
By completing these tasks, you are rewarded with Swagbucks which you can then cash out after a certain amount.
Swagbucks also has a mobile app, which makes it easy to earn money right from your phone.
I also have the Swagbucks LIVE app, which is a fun trivia game to try and earn grand prizes!
Inbox Dollars
Inbox Dollars is another one of my favorite survey sites. You can make extra money by taking surveys, watching videos, playing games, shopping, referring friends, and printing coupons.
You can even open “scratch-and-win” tickets (like a scratcher card you can buy from the gas station) to try and earn some extra money when you complete more surveys!
This is a very fun and engaging website that I would highly recommend!
Plus you can get a $5 bonus just for signing up!
Survey Junkie
Survey Junkie is another site where you complete surveys, earn virtual “points” and then cash them out through Paypal or gift cards.
I like Survey Junkie because their website is sleek and modern and very easy to navigate.
You can register for Survey Junkie here.
MyPoints
MyPoints is another great free survey site that pays well for completing surveys, taking polls, and assessing new products and designs.
You can also get a $10 welcome bonus when you sign up for MyPoints.
Vindale Research
Vindale Research is one of my favorite survey sites because they don’t have a “points” system that requires you to redeem the points, they pay you in cash through PayPal.
They are also one of the highest paying survey sites out there and they offer unique ways to earn cash such as surveys, product testing, videos, and focus groups.
You can sign up for Vindale Research here.
Harris Poll Online
Harris Poll Online is another great and reputable survey site. Their website is very “clean” and sleek and is very easy to navigate.
I also really like this website because after you complete a survey, you can see and compare your results with others who have taken the same survey. You are paid in “points” and can redeem them for valuable rewards.
You can sign up for Harris Poll here.
And there you have it! These are some of my favorite online survey sites that have helped make me a little bit of extra money on the side and I hope they can help you as well!
P.S. I know there are some other reputable survey sites such as American Consumer Opinion, Pinecone Research, and Opinion Outpost, however, I only wanted to recommend the ones I have tested myself and have liked the most.
